Here is what the local Austin Texas Honda dealer says....

Thanks for your interest in the Honda CBR250R w/ ABS. Honda has not released any ABS models yet, but dealers should be able to order them in July or August. September will be the final month for dealer orders of CBR250Rs and those units will arrive in late November for sale in December.

I put a deposit on a black ABS on june 22nd at one of the only 2 dealers that have them here in and around Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada.
It will cost me 4499.00 plus 400.00 PDI plus 12% taxes. So it's pricey here. But much less than a larger CC bike.
First bike for me since I don't count my old 1978 Yamaha XS750 that was barely running (had to skip 2nd gear and signals didn't work) and I only rode it for a month since it was dangerous and annoying to drive.
Hopefully these goons at the store can set it up quickly. The salesman told me they had it in store, but they have to take it out of the box and put on the tyres and do whatever they do when they get it from the factory.
I can't wait to drive it. Summer doesn't last forever up here !

My CBR 250R ABS (Red & Silver) was delivered to my home today while I was at work! I can't wait to great her wth, "Honey, I'm home!"

It has been a crazy ordeal with over two months of calling every Chicagoland dealership every week or two to try and locate my bike. Des Plaines Honda finally found one in Iowa and had it shipped and I withdrew my deposit from another dealer who provided zero help or information during my entire search. Danielle was my sales person and she was super great to work with!

Now I just need my gear to arrive in the mail and learn how to ride her... slow and easy with the shiny side up.

Ride smart all.

Thats wierd because Danielle constantly leaves me messages that they have CBR's. Who were the other dealers you dealt with?

Just rode my CBR250R red and silver ABS home today from Haydon Honda, Kendalville, Indiana. He's a level 5 dealer and has sold at least 10 so far this spring. I think mine was his first ABS bike. Must be regional or dealers with inside info?

@Mad-Trapper: When mine was arriving from IA Des Plaines did have a black CBR250 in stock and asked to make sure I wanted the ABS version. I mostly dealt with "The Zone Honda", "Otto Brothers", and "Des Plaines Honda", but called less often a few dealers in Indiana and the one in Du Page.

@Iryxian: I really have no clue where they got it. They were sending one of their bikes down there and the IA dealer just happened to have one. So they hauled it back with them :)
