Hello, I am new to this forum and as we are planning a long distance trip in the near future we are very interested by the windshield ;-) as the beginning of our trip will be on motorway for a few hundred kms/miles....
What height would you recommend as best?

first attempt

We tried your system and here is the result for tonight... we are still missing bits and pieces but it should be finalised tomorrow.... with trial on the speedway. I'll keep in touch with the findings!!!!
My Loukse is terrific (just see his smile) and not only at making my bike great (you will probably see my smile tomorrow)

Hi CeeBeeArr, and thanks for your idea... we tried our first proto today and it was smashing!!!!!!!!!!!! it really worked to near perfection. we went for a 415 kms round trip and I don't feel half as tired as I used to before. I will post photos tomorrow and more explanations but I wanted to let you know that your idea worked really well.

Hi again, here is the latest/final version of the screen
We have added a cut plastic pipe on both edges because in the trial of the first version, the two plates rubbed on one another and it caused scratches at some places even though we used the same washers as on today's photo
For the first version we tried to bend the plate by heating.... not a good idea because it is not easy to get an even job. Today's plate is just bolted slowy...
Findings of yesterday's tour, excellent!!! I had no problem at all with side wind, may be due to the shape of the outer "wings"??? I don't know
For info, I am about 1m71 tall, and we raised the center by 13cms.
I managed over 80MPG (2.9L/100kms) using the screen and removing the pipe in the air box on a 400+kms trip. Speed between 90-120, on major roads but mainly on small country roads.
