there was a company that made an air gap with a small foil. I tried one on the vtx, and did not feel it helped, but on a sport bike it may help.

I forgot, they attached with adhesive backed velcro buttons. You set them so when you put the lip on your windshield you flex it to more of an arc. the velcro worked good.

CeeBeeArr, they dont really use velcro, I was wrong. it is similar, but a harder straight pronged plastic, and the two halves snap together. They have a life cycle, on and off of maybe 20 times, unlike velro. the buttons do not flex like velcro would. 3/4" dia. anyway good luck on your project. I was not thrilled with my laminar lip, some bikes are difficult to change aerodynamics, so maybe that was part of the problem.
