Hello from South NJ

Hi everyone,

My bike was delivered Friday night. It is a black non-ABS. It is my first sport bike and I have not ridden in 15 years so it to me is kinda like my first bike again. I'm 43.

I was like many people looking at the Ninja 250 and in fact was going into the dealer to buy a black one that they just got in. I had previously called around to see if any other dealers had a CBR to look at. No one did so I figured I would just go with the Ninja. When I got to the dealer I was surprised to see this black CBR in the front of their showroom. Now I had some deciding to do! well so I thought... I am 6'1 and although I think the Ninja has better looks, I felt a bit cramped up on it. I sat on the CBR and it felt way more comfortable. I went back and forth between bikes a few more times..It was very clear that the CBR fit me much better. I was already leaning towards the CBR prior because of the fuel injection but gave up when I couldn't locate one in my area. I do have to say that side by side that I prefer the Ninja's looks over the CBR but there is no doubt in my mind that I made the right choice. In my opinion, if you are tall, the CBR is the choice to make.

I spent Saturday getting back in the saddle:) just tooling around pretty close to home. I did a few hours in a large parking lot doing some retraining, low speed turns, getting the feel for the brakes and swerving around my water bottle.

Sunday I rode for most of the day. I put close to 200 miles on it taking a few stops along the way. I never once felt cramped up on it. I took it on the highway and it has plenty of power. I love this bike. I am very satisfied with it in every respect. Here are a couple of pictures of the bike.

Thanks and same to you!!!
I believe mine is a 2011. I will check on my lunch break and let you know for sure.

Question for you, my tool kit only had one allen key and the helmet strap. Is mine missing tools or is this all they come with?

Thanks everyone! It couldn't have been a better week since I got it, mid 70's and sunny every day:)

Every time I get on, there is no doubt that I made the right choice in bikes! It really is a blast!

My only regret is that I waited so many years to get back in the saddle!
