Yoshimura Frame Sliders Arrived!

13923 Views 29 Replies 19 Participants Last post by  Conundrum
They finally came in today, these attach directly to the frame and require no cutting! Also at a beautiful price of $180 per pair from a reputable brand.

As soon as it stops raining here, I will get these on the bike and snap more pics.

Albeit the rain all weekend, I found enough time to install them. I like them alot, I feel much safer that they are attached to the frame then just bolted into the engine. No cutting involved, took me maybe 20 min to install.

I did have to re tap one of the aluminum brackets, otherwise it was a piece of cake.

My only slight concern is they don't really go farther out then the handle bar, I am not sure if the intuit ones do.

I have also attached images of my rear stand which I think is pitbull quality but half the price.

those look good, i might have to pick up a set
Looks good... why did you have to re-tap one of the brackets?
I have a pair installed on my bike and I can say, they do work as intended in slow-speed crashes. The only place they don't protect (and hence this place gets scratched in a fall) is the mirrors.

One of the brackets thread was real hard to start, it just was the first turn. I guess that was a manufacturing flaw but it was easily fixed.

Cool... thanks for the pictures!

where did u pick them up from?
What kind of swing arm stand is that? I see it has a reversable bracket for spools also.

Ebay, from a place called asylum motorcycles.

I paid $11 shipping, but soon realized there are a couple places online that will sell for 180 w/ free ship.

why to pay 180$ for frame sliders?!
for all other bikes its avilable for about 90-100... :\
just cause this bike is new there arent many products available and prices are crazy right now... (Black windscreen for about 150$ huh?!?)
But i still wish i could buy exhaust online and ship it to israel (2BR SlipOn Aluminuim costs here around 2900ILS Its 850$)

It will get better as time goes by and more people buy them, but for now, $180 once, sure beats replacing fairings for every small drop (especially for new riders), and due to the design (bolting to the frame rather than the engine), replacing major engine parts.

Tyga Performance - Screen, Dark Tint, OEM Honda, 2011 CBR250 - Bodywork and Carbon

There is a black windshield for only $35. Don't know about shipping to Israel though.
I got the rear sets from tyga, I'm hoping in a crash the foot peg, frame slider and bar end will take all the damage, i need a flush mount indicator aswell. I've crashed my bike once and two plastic fairing panels cost $550 to get fixed.
We have them for $180 shipped, right now they come in and constantly go out, currently they are shipping within 2-3 days of order, hot item right now. Jump on 'em. ;)

I agree they are more exp, but if you look at the $100 ones you get for other bikes, they are just a bold and plastic slider. This has a whole assembly and just seems alot more sturdy and better quality. I think it justifies the price. Its better then replacing the fairings.

Jeeze was that the Cbr? your really getting ripped on the fairing parts. I think a complete set of plastics here is about 4,500b so $150 thats for the lot.
Very nice. My only concern is that the signal lights stick out much further. But I guess in the long run that's not as bad as having to replace body pieces.

they dont stick out "much" father but they do a bit. The bigger consern is the handle bar and side mirrors. Since the turn signals bend, they actually don't get affected much. Its these or the intuit ones which seem longer but i dont like their attachment method.
