CBR250r Official long term reliability review after 20,000 miles from someone who comes across as a relative novice.... c'mon, pull the other leg.

How about a bit less pretentious "My experience of 20,000 miles on a CBR250R"? And a bit more keeping both hands on the handle bars.

My current ride, a 16 year-old 100cc Honda (made in Thailand), has 216,000 km (134,000 miles) on it is reliable, and should be good for many more with continued basic maintenance at recommended intervals. It had an engine overhaul at 180,000 km, and odd bits, like wheel bearings, have been replaced as an when needed, but that is normal wear and tear. Properly maintained, the bike has never let me down.

 

^ A bit harsh mate. 'Official' it ain't but at least FE hasn't flicked his bike because of his superior skills. I say cut the guy some slack

I agree 100% with your conclusion that 4K is a good time to
change oil (+ filter). You did not mention your oil type,
synthetic , mineral or blend?

Do another at 40K.

Thanks for the review...I am at 10,000 miles on odometer myself and I (GASP) only change my and filter once a year before storing it away for cold weather. Still running like the day it was new.
