Do you really want to start messing with your electronics just to install something you thought "looked cool"?
Especially with just a sketchy instruction manual.
What is more important in the long run? Installing a farkle (that won't increase the value of your bike) or maintaining the integrity of your CBR's electrical system?
There have been plenty of threads on this forum over the years dealing with installations of "cool" electronics that went horribly wrong.

I don't care about the resale value of a cheap motorcycle, I also assume this attachment is an adition, not an alteration, and as such reversible. I have yet to see a thread on gear indicators significantly impacting the electrical system of this motorcycle and any other types that also use these mods.
I understand where you're coming from, but to me most mods will mess with the original design of the manufacturer, and yet we do them anyways, I like to customize my bike to my liking, as long as the bikes operation remains safe. I have yet to see a reason why that would happen, but if there is one I would be more than happy to hear it and highly appreciate it.
