yes its a lil hard to adjust but then take it this way. it adds to the safety of it slipping on it own while you ride which can cause issue.

if its jammed yes you can spray a bit wd40 to remove grime/muck/ else just a pressure water wash should do..

 

Are you using a spanner wrench or a screwdriver and hammer? Spanner wrench it should move very easy.

 

Spanner wrench. It's a short one though so it could fit in my toolkit. I'll probably pick up a bigger one for home use.

 

Anyone know offhand what size wrench it takes? Probably time to try a new setting on mine. I like the factory setting but I'd like to try it a little stiffer.
